Past the Performance Plateau: A New Strategy for Health and Safety
Michael Smith (London School of Tropical Hygiene) will represent USHA at the forthcoming Westminster Briefing entitled Past the Performance Plateau: A New Strategy for Health and Safety. This briefing will be hosted by The House Magazine on Tuesday, 28th April 2009 in Westminster.
Participants at this Westminster Briefing will have the opportunity to consider the HSE's new strategy, The Health and Safety of Great Britain: Be part of the solution, and how this will affect their work on a daily basis. Examining examples of current best practice, delegates will discuss with the panel the measures needed to improve partnership working and improve the safety of the public. Further issues to be explored include: Improving inspection and enforcement regimes; New guidance on worker involvement in Health and Safety; The link between Health and Safety and delivering on LAA indicators; Improving the reputation of Health and Safety in the face of negative headlines.
