Description

The North West Region of the Association of University Engineers is honoured to be hosting the 40th Annual Conference of the Association of University Engineers in Manchester, at Manchester Conference Centre.

Given the anniversary year, this year's Conference has adopted a '+/-40' theme which will be reflected throughout the conference programme and the exhibition.

We already have 85% of the exhibition space filled and the call for presentation papers has resulted in an unprecidented response.  Presentations will range from future legislation, lighting, hot water systems, risk and crisis management to energy.

The needs and challenges of University Engineers has changed unrecognisably since the early days of the Association not only in terms of what our role is and what we do, but also, how we do it.  As such this conference will also consider our management skills and how best to adapt as we enter the next 40 years of keeping our magnificent institutions running smoothly!

The benefits of attending the
+/-40 AUE Conference are considerable:

- by providing CPD to members, you not only improve and broaden your knowledge but also further develop your professional competence.

- gain insights into management techniques, team dynamics and persuasive presentation skills from internationally acclaimed speakers.

- networking with colleagues helps create a Knowledge Transfer Network, whereby insights can be offered into each other's challenges.

- develop contacts with suppliers relevant to your requirements.

- pick up ideas on how to generally improve our Higher Education environments.
