UCEA, in association with USHA and HEOPS, launched a new Health and Safety Guidance for the placement of HE Students in August this year. It provides a generic framework for considering, managing and supporting health and safety issues relating to student placements in the UK and overseas. 

Using presentations and institutional case studies this joint UCEA and USHA event will consider the practical implications of adopting the recommendations made by the guidance. Case studies on the practicalities of student placements will be presented by the universities including Sheffield Hallam. In addition the legal perspectives of student placements will be presented by Eversheds LLB and the HSE will present its view.
