|
A primary aim of USHA is the promotion of health and safety in higher education as well as providing sector guidance documents, conferences, seminars and networking/information sharing opportunities. This also includes promoting USHA and it's activities nationally and internationally, developing working partnerships providing mutual benefit and support with similiar organisations and key sector stakeholders. In support of these aims USHA has made available various development grants to assist members in undertaking necessary activities. Development grants are available for a variety of purposes, including:
In applying for an USHA development grant the activity or work undertaken needs to focus upon promoting health and safety within the sector and clearly identify what aspects will benefit USHA and it's members. Whilst the development grant may indeed enhance personal CPD it is insufficient by itself to meet the criteria for awarding funding. To make an application for an USHA development grant you will need to complete an application form with a written proposal. Guidance on writing a proposal for a development grant, click here.
